I guess it would help if we knew what camera you have.

Mine on my pick up is mounted using the top 2 bolts on my plates. Works great, but I mostly use it for backing up to trailers.

yeah i was thinking about doing that, as i can easily reverse a hole there... but i think it would hurt my soul to take the hole saw to it.

if you have a late model car, buy the US plate filler for 30 bucks. It's pushed out and hollow from behind. Drill the correct size hole and mount it through there. Don't even think about hacking away sheet metal and with that thing sticking out on your dash in your neck of the woods, aren't you asking for a break in?

I was trolling lol... but realistically I am putting it into a plate filler and running the wire through where the license plate light is. I have a flip out reciever and I live in the burbs. So no theft worries. This car will not be parked in the hood overnight. EVER.

Why the need for a reverse camera on such a small car?

My thoughts exactly. An E30 is so damn easy to drive and park.

Stupid idea is stupid, my friend couldn't park my car a few weeks ago because it didn't have a rearview camera. He, in my opinion, shouldn't have a driver's license.

Lol i will never use it to park. It's more of a extra set of eyes when activities happen in the car if you know what i mean.
