LOL sorry you don't need the extra adapter and wiring hardness! I don't know why it's included actually! You just wire the harness that came with the head unit (the one that actually plugs in the head unit) and connect the wires to your E30's. The black ground wire on the head unit's wiring harness connects to the brown E30 wire, or at least that's what I did and it worked fine. Sorry forgot to mention that, didn't realize you were ordering from Sonic :)

Ok FINALLY got pics, so you can edit the R G & B levels from 0 to 31 giving you a HUGE range of colors to make. I didn't take much time trying to perfect the stock amber color, but this was Red 20 Green 01 Blue 00. Looks pretty close enough to me, then again I like going crazy with the colors now that I have this deck haha.

Close Eh!? Nice look in my opinion.

Also I just made a video to show the color changing options, this is all just preset options.

Well I can't get youtube embedding to work so the video is HERE!

Damn, I already connected all the colors already too!

BTW, it looks great at night with the amber color that you have going on.

I'm sorry man I totally forgot about that. It'll be worth it though, right now I'm rocking a green/yellow color theme and it kicks.

Stereo installed last night, works great with my premium sound setup. For some reason I have to keep the OEM amp connected in order to get it working.

Next up, new set of front speakers as the rears are just overpowering the fronts.

Thanks for everything Threehz, Luke and bernzspeed.

D'oh, should have jumped on that sooner. Looks like I can still get it elsewhere for a little more, but I'm looking at this one since I don't need a CD: JVC KD-X50BT

Hope that it has the same JVC color match that looks so awesome on yours...

Well ain't that a bitch! It appears they discontinued the 820 and 720 models, however the 620 is still available.

The JVC KD R620 is the same as the 720 except it has no rear usb, and no satellite or hd radio expandability, but it is 10 bucks cheapers..

Dandan1 glad you got it all figured out!

and sorry bobm123 hope you find a good one

I have the KD R520 which looks identical but has a few less features. I have been pretty happy with it so far. Out of the box the red lighting mine was set to was almost identical to the E30 lighting so I've kept it like that.

I'm not looking to add subs or anything super fancy, I just wanted something to power 4 speakers so I would have something to listen to on the long drives to/from the track. (Previous owner removed the whole stereo system.)

Pretty easy install (which is saying a lot since I'm terrible when it comes to wiring!) and well worth the $70 I paid. Looks like the 520 has been replaced by some other models. Good review, makes me wish I had gotten a fancer model now! ;)
