Is his battery not in the trunk? He mentions you need to run the power line up to the front of the car. I figured all of our batteries were in the back so this has been throwing me for a loop.
Question about luke's stero build install.

I also had an 85 eta with the battery in the trunk. I thought only verts and 318 had them up front.Originally posted by TimKninjaRacelands are cheap shit.Originally posted by whodwhoSo are r3v members

I think you may have 2 different stories mixed up.
The "$500 stereo" has a rear battery, as does the "Amp Rack" tutorial, but the 'vert box install does not have a rear battery and requires power to be run to the front.
And just for general grins, my 10/83 325e has a rear battery, but no skipass.
I have never seen another car that has no skipass hole with a rear battery, ever.
I have seen a '83 M20B23 car that was front battery and a early '85 M10 car that had a front battery, but the vast majority of E30s have a rear battery if they have a roof and a trunk.Comment

Euro M20B23 cars also had a front battery, but my "so damn early it has no skipass" 84 325e has a trunk mount battery. So far, it is a unicorn. I have not seen a single other car ever that has rear battery and no skipass cutout.Comment
