    Central locking probs

So my central locking has been working fine until one day...

I can't unlock my driver's door (RHD car). Can't pull the knob up, can't unlock it with key from outside. Figure it's stuck actuator, so I replace it and I can lock/unlock it again. However at this point, the central locking stops working for the right rear door. All others still work.

Few days later, the passenger door gets stuck as well. This time, I take out the existing actuator, clean it up a bit and it gets unstuck. Put it back in and now I can lock/unlock the passenger door, but now central locking doesn't work at all.

SOMETIMES, when I lock my driver's door, I hear a whirring from the boot, but nothing gets locked/unlocked. Central locking has stopped working.
And my doors seem to be taking turns to get the actuator stuck. Few days ago it was the passenger side again. Then now it's the rear left door.

What could be causing this? I have tried removing and reinstalling the central locking module (the black box in the speaker kick panel) and that didn't seem to help matters. Does it need replacing?

    No feedback?

Btw, the actuator that I used to replace my driver's door actuator was one which had a light blue upper portion and a white lower portion. After looking at the Bentley manual, it seems that each side and front/rear has a specific color to use. Blue/white appears to be for the boot actuator (even though they look the same physically). Could this be the reason why my central locking is not working? Do I need to find one that is exactly the same as my old driver's side actuator?

Check the A pillar plug, and make sure nothings corroded there.
There's a constant live going through that connector causing the pins to corrode.

I did open it up to check, they look OK visually, but I didn't have anything suitable to try and scuff up the surface a bit in case there is any corrosion. Did not have contact cleaner with me either. -_-

This constant live, is this the red-black-wire fix that is mentioned on the e30zone wiki?

That's the one, if you have a saloon, then there's 2 red/black wires you need to mod, or if it's a cab, then there's 3 red/black wires to modify.
All it does it get rid of the constant live at the plug, as all that is is a loop in the door.

If I understand correctly, I take the two red/black wires that go into the plug on the car frame side, cut them and splice them together, then the ends that remain on the plug, I just insulate. Right?

If yours is a saloon, then yes, cut the 2 Red/black wires at the A pillar, as close as you can, and solder them together, and heatshrink them, that's basically taking out the permanent live loop out of the door, no need to insulate the others as there is no power going through them.

It's all here in the link below in the wkik link.

Thanks for the clarification, yeah mine is a 4dr, so should be two wires. I'll give this a shot when I'm back home in a few weeks. :)
