    Thanks, StereoInstaller!

I just got back from Luke's house where he sorted out my 87 325is stereo issue. I've had the car for about 5 years and it never did have properly working speakers. In fact as of late, I was down to one rear. Not only did he correctly diagnose my problem over the phone, he told me what deck to buy and installed it for half of what some hack shop would have charged. (Plus I'm positive they would have tried to tell me the speakers were shot.) The man knows e30s like the back of his hand.

Frankly, I'm amazed at the sound that comes from these stock speakers! It's really phenomenal! I can only imagine what his special box and amp set-up sounds like. I'm saving that project for when I get an e46 330ci!

Thanks again, Luke. Needless to say my son is thrilled beyond words! (I gave him this car a year ago and the stereo was a birthday present.)

Oh yeah, he also hooked me up with some Boz Scaggs! Honesty, integrity and a real nice guy to boot.

    That exclamation point is deceiving.

Luke! is the screen name of a douche that scammed some people on wheels on this forum, and some others I think.

So glad to hear your and the boy are so happy with it. Hopefully, he will find the urge to finish the job with subwoofer and amplifier...but that deck alone did sound pretty good.

I tell people over and over, stock PS speakers kick ass.

Either way, you won't be singing to yourself anymore in that car.

            thanks,
            Luke

I also have an 87 325is and wanted to throw out a quick shout out to Luke here for the email help when I installed my stereo last night. The diagrams are very helpful once you get these damn wires organized and match them up properly.
