I just picked up an 88 Cabrio from its original owner. It did not come with a headunit...as it looks like they took the head unit out before selling it.
Anyway...did the cabrios come with premium sound?
I have tweeters, but when i was pulling things a apart to see what I had to do to wire in a new head unit...and follow Lukes advice about amping the stock premium speakers....I am not sure I have premium speakers. (I thought i did because i had tweeters.) The rear are some paper coned speakers. (BMW)
I know on the 2 door and 4 door premium speaker cars the rears are usually fiber coned, and also have seperate tweeters for the rear.
Just wondering what I should be looking for if I want the best sound for the least amount of money.
By reading Lukes posts, it looks like the stock premium speakers are the way to go (amped of course) But will they fit in my cabrio? and what to do about rear tweeters. I would hate to just put the premium woofers in there, and not the tweeters.
