86 325es factory radio retrofit help.

    Edit:
I troubleshoot and found out that one of the rear deck speaker is dead. Will this throw off the whole system? I can not be sure if the oem amp is in working order or not because it a PITA to test it. I test all the connector at the harnes connecting to the amp and they all have power and working order.

First off thanks to the fellow member here gave me the radio code.

I bought an es couple weeks ago that came with a disconnected factory radio. the PO put an aftermarket HU. I am in the process of retrofit the factory radio back in. however the harness has been cut.

The radio diagram show that there are only 2 wires, (blue and yellow) that go to the fader control, but the radio has 4 connectors. I did trial and error but still no sound. the radio/amp/ant. power up and seems working. the radio model is an CM5905. OEM.?

If you are referring to the stock PS setup, they used only the positive wire (blue or yellow) to the fader, then the fader split that into front and rear. The harness supplies all of the input ground.
