    Sub magically stopped working

I was driving to school this morning, plugged in my iPhone (via USB to headunit) to play music like I do everyday...but today was different. There was no bass!
Everything was working fine yesterday, so what could have happened? I didn't change any of the HU settings.

did you check if the power cable or ground maybe unplugged from your amp? Stranded cable has a tendency to slowly break away from the typical amp screw connector. Maybe the RCA's? if they are plugged in then get a DMM and see if there's voltage coming through the cables.

I didn't have time to check much this morning. I will check it out after school. I just want to know what to look for!

I'd say you listened o loud and blew it. However.... If it magically stopped working I say get som lucky charms a few Harry potter books and a magic wand from the dollar store... Should fix it

How could I have blown it? I play it at the same volume everyday.

Can I test if it's blown? The woofer isn't moving at all when I play music

Maybe it's my iPhone cable...I'll try a cd because I have no radio :(

You do know if you don't get the plug all the way in on your phone you get no bass, right? I assume everyone who uses a miniplug knows about that

Polk sub, kenwood amp, pioneer HU

It's been working fine for over a year now...maybe something got loose.

And yes, it was plugged all the way in ;)

Well, I plugged my phone in after school and it worked. It doesn't sound the same though.

                    Deep bass sounds the same

Higher bass.....there seems to be a rattle inside of the box. Maybe part of the sub? I'm not sure.
