I came here interested in a vert box, but now i think im going to wait ;)

I could be wrong but I think they can custom build the normal "drop in" box to accommodate these as well but I think the dimensions are different as in it takes up more trunk or the box must be made thicker or somthing, Luke???

Basically, the woofers will protrude from the regular box enough to "slap" the metal bracing. Otherwise, they fit pretty well. Until I finish Johns and hear it, I am not willing to offer them up for sale. The goal is late this month, we will see how that works!

Do NOT attempt to use this woofer in my 'vert box. It will slop and fart and blow up immediately. The math is very wrong for a 4th order bandpass.

The 2 choices of Kicker are the recommended woofer: please use ONLY the woofers this was designed for.

Understand that ALL of my other boxes are just fine with a huge variety of woofers, they are built for a theoretical ideal, so there are many many choices close enough for them...but this box uses part of your car as the enclosure, and is a proper 4th order bandpass. The part of the car that this uses cannot change and is very small for the design, that is why I use the Kicker woofers.

Let me say something else about that too...I hate Kicker. I hate all kinds of stuff about them, but just leave it at "Luke hate Kicker". I ask that you use their woofers because it is the ONLY inexpensive woofer that works in this design, even though I hate them.

We spent the day shipping stuff out that we could not ship due to damn stupid AT&T choking our internet so bad that PayPal would not load.

The "vert boxes are still on the tablesaw, but should be ready to go shortly...then, E28 12's...then POWER TOP VERT BOXES!

Is Kicker 10CVR84 the right speaker to use for this box? Please, help me out, guys! I have absolutely no clue about speakers or sound systems.

^^ good point, when you say 'Kicker Comp' are you referring to the 'Comp', 'Comp VR' or 'Comp VT' 8" for this setup?
