    weird guage issues

So my guages went out the other day, check the fuse box and noticed fuse #10 had blown out, replaced fuse and worked fine until I started to back the car up. So I played around with it today and noticed that the fuse only blows out when I put it in reverse...

    Plz help Mark

I thought i saw something a while back about a wire that runs under the shifter boot to the reverse lights, which can short out on the body and blow fuses. Haven't had this issue myself, and I'm not sure if this is the problem, but it might give you a place to start looking. Good luck man.

        Sounds like a winner to me. iirc it's a blue/white and a green/white wires.

E46's have a fuse that goes out every once in a while. It blows out the entire instrument cluster. We've spent hours of diag time just trying to find a shorted wire or something, but just resort to replacing the fuse and the car never comes back. I've seen maybe 2 or 3 of them in the past 2 years.

If it is consistently going out, I'd look further into shorts and stuff.
