    No windows need help

When i got this car I knew the windows didn't work, so today I inslly got around to pulling the door panels off and taking a peek, boy was I surprised

    Things I noticed;

-no widow switches included with car
    -no window breaker switch
    -windows aren't even "on track"
-window motor in plugged from body harness
-screws drilled to hold up window

Well I plugged in some window switches and a breaker, hookup up motor and tried to test, I got nothing from it. so I'm thinking I may have a short somewhere...

ALSO my radio does not power on, and the lights for the hvac do not light up...BUT no fuses are blown.

    Thoughts/help?

If I can't fix, ima just convert to crank

Good luck with that. It sounds like you know what you are doing.

does the blower motor come on when you turn the fan on for the hvac? usually the windows along with the blower motor, and radio are all powered by the unloader relay. you need to use a wiring diagram and verify all your power and grounds.

with all the hokey shit going on for the windows, i can only imagine what the wiring is like under the dash.

blower motor is fine, which has really thrown me for a loop!

still haven't been able to borrow a multimeter, so gonna go buy one later today.

as of now, all connections are good, all fuses are good, can't vissually see anything wrong...so i disconnected the driver window so i can manually move it up and down(hot as HELL outside).

ima fix this shit if it kills me i tell you

            Ok new info!

No power at window breaker. No power at any switches.
            NO POWER AT FUSE!?!?

What does that mean! No power to the fuse? So there is a short before the fuse box?

Probably not a short. If it's a wiring issue it's likely a cut or broken wire. But more commonly the female receiver that that fuse goes into has receded down too far into the fuse box, not making contact.

Are you sure the multimeter probe is hitting it?

i stuck the prongs all the way down, definately had contact with the connectors for the fuse.

Pull K5 and move K7 where K5 was. Might be a bad or incorrect relay.

Hmm. Do your gauges and other crap on fuse 10 work?

yeah, the only thing not working is the speedo since the speed sensor wire was cut at the diff somehow.

if i can't fix it soon(read as its getting fucking hot) im gonna just take it to a local shop, which i absoultely HATE the idea of, but sometimes you have to admit when you are out of your element, i am a parts installer, not i diag specialist lol

Give this a try and see if you at least get power to the fuse.

I dont know if this is your problem but I remember my windows didnt work when I had the two small wires on the starter flipped around.

taking it to a shop tomorrow, and i have a feeling the reason my radio doesn't work is the same issue....
