MB Quart QM?

I just got some MB Quart qm 130 and some mtx 6" speakers for $60 shipped. The MTX's sound like absolute shit when the bass is turned up (they vibrate).
No crossovers were included with the MB Quarts, i think the seller didnt know they required them. He said he has some bmw crossovers he could send me. Will these work well? or is there another type of crossover i should get if i plan on getting a sub so the lower sounds are filtered from the midrange speakers?

I know they send all the low Frequencies to the small woofer and the highs to the tweeter but do they filter out the really low bass that the small woofer cant produce?

No. Thats not how these types of crossovers function. If you need that kind of functionality you need to get a standalone electronic crossover, or an amp with crossovers.

What kind of power are you feeding the MBQuarts anyways? They really sound ALOT better with actual power behind them. I power each of my 4 MB Quarts inside my car with a true 75watts RMS per speaker. Sounds stellar, and plays much louder (while still being crystal clear) then most can tolerate.

then how do these ones work? Im just powering them from the headunit thats 50w x4. I plan on having these 5 1/4 w/ tweeters along with some QM 160 6in ones i just got on ebay. Then i think my frind has and amp with 1 blown 1 good sub and and enclosure that he'll sell me for like $40. So i dont really want the really low frequencies to try and play through the quarts.

Are these things any good anyways? I know there is the Q series which is like the best, but im not sure if these are that

Yeah, you will be happy with the MB Quarts you've got so long as you feed them decent power.

I used these crossovers before I bought both my JL Audio amps that have very nice internal crossovers.

These are good, and treated me well. I used them when I was running off my decks power and they sounded pretty good.

$18 shipped is a pretty good deal too I feel.
