Help me pick my next headunit.

So my old Pioneer P4800 is getting kind of tired and I want to step my game up to something with USB connectivity and the ability to control iPod/iPhone. I have this Kenwood in my Civic and I love it.

I want something with variable color and preferably front USB but that Kenwood doesn't have enough advanced audio controls to let me play my music loud and proud like I want to be able to (it starts to pop and break up at high volume in my civic). I'd like something with some sort of high and low pass filters and maybe some built in cross overs.

Keep in mind my E30 sits in the garage quite a bit so when I bring it out I really want something I'll be able to enjoy and not be "just okay" with. Current speaker setup is 4 premium speakers with a 10" Sony sub and 500w sony amp in a Lukebox.

Also, I don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money and I want to stay single DIN. Preferably under 150 bucks.

    Thanks guys!

I have a JVC Aresenal KD-A735BT in the vert and it's very good, it has something like 6000 different backlight options and you can find one that matches the e30's backlighting. It comes with built in bluetooth and all the necessary wires/microphones to integrate it. Along with the USB ports you are looking for. I would for certain look into that one.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Ohhhhh... the hell that is head unit shopping. I am in it with you.

I was surprised how few units really did what I wanted... bluetooth external speaker, rear usb, Sirius... doesn't sound like a lot.

Don't blame the popping and cracking of the Kenwood on the head unit... short of not giving you a high enough output voltage (but I am guessing it is 4.5 from a kenwood, which is good) thereby allowing you to lower the gain controls on the amp, it isn't really responsible for distortion. Does your amp have any crossover points on it? What about lowering the gain controls some (but then use a higher range of your headunit volume) or vice versa. Something like an Audio Control 3.1 or 4.1 would also help things out... cleaning up the signal, boosting output voltage and giving you more crossover controls...
