    Amp rack for E30M3

I read somewhere that GAS was going to make one if they got a car to measure? Did this happen and if not how long would they need my car if I drove up there? I searched but couldn't find what I had read or even WHEN it was written.

Shoot me an email, I think I have a local model I can bribe.

The box fits and the amp rack might fit, but until tested I just don't know. Do you already have one of my sub boxes?

Sales@germanaudiospecialties.com is a good email address.

Thanks for the interest, that is way cool!

Hey thanks... for now I mounted the amp to the 8" sub-box I bought from you. It'd be nice to have a cool rack to mount it in. I'll take the first one off the production line :)

Oh geez, didn't connect the 2 were the same. Duh.

I just wish I had a normal E30 here to model with. The '83~'91 car I am now building is one of the early shells that have no cutout for the skipass hole, but is rear mounted battery. I do not know another one like it personally. The last of the very early from what I can tell.

Since it is such an oddball, I cannot use it as a model for production stuff.

I am hoping to get an M3 here to make facias for the amp rack template, or get a pair of sidepanels from an actual M3 to test fit to. The crappy part is that I don't know for certain that they are different, but I don't know for a fact that they are the same, either.

No worries... the trunk hinge arms are very different so I'm not sure if there are clearance issues with that... for now the amp is mounted securely. The panel behind the seat has the ski pass area spot welded so I'll punch it out for the sub...

I'm looking for a custom box for my e30 M3!!!

I'm running some ol'skool gear, a single Orion 10" HCCA sub w/ HCCA 250 amp... a/d/s PH15 6-ch. amp for the 6 stock premium sound speakers but those are getting tossed for some 3" a/d/s and 4" Orion speakers I've been sitting on...

Or a set of Alpine F1 components. Oh yeah the HU is ol'skool as well, Pioneer P1R but looking for something more modern with iPod & Bluetooth control.

Hey Rich, have you looked at some of the posts showing our work? The box will fit perfectly, and blow your mind with fit, finish and performance...and the price ain't too bad either!

Seriously I've got the 8" in my M3 and it rocks.
