    Stock Stereo Wiring - E30

Hello, The prior owner had a ridiculous stereo that sounded horrible and the speaker wires were replaced and the original connectors were hacked off. I had a few original connectors laying around. I was able to get a stock BMW radio hooked up to my 1989 325iX and it works ok, but I have a few wires not connected. Any help would be appreciated. It appears that the fader control wires are cut off and not connected to my stereo...what does that connector look like and where does it plug in ? Also, I have a white with brown stripe wire and a blue with brown stripe wire coming out of the back of the stereo terminating into a black connector...and I do not have that hooked up to anything. Is this for an external amp by chance? Thanks.

Go grab the electrical diagram book (pdf) for your car. It'll tell you what color wire went where and did what. Link

Oh, and hold on tight posting this question... :P
