Engine wire harness

Does anyone know if all the E30 engine wire harnesses are the same? I had a small engine fire and need to replace mine. 1988 325i convertible with a 173 Ecu. Is the "e" or "is" wiring harness the same, despite different ecus?

No, they are quite different, but you can use any M20B25 harness '88 or newer
