Haven't had interior lights since I picked mine up. Car has a starter button installed and I'm guessing that mayyyy have something to do with the reason why its a got a cave like feel to it.. car only has two rear lights and one trunk light...

How are the bulbs? Old?
On the 2 interior lights there is a black switch. Try flipping the switch with the doors open and see if that does anything.Comment

I'm new to e30's and have an interior light question. My interior lights only come on with door open if key is in ignition and key is turned part way. The switch is in correct position on lights that they should come on when door is opened. Previous owner did install aftermarket stereo so maybe buggered something there??Comment
