    Why do rear speakers suck??

I think it gives a more fuller sound.
Cus compared to Jay's (Mystikal) althou his is clear and really nice sounding I felt like it was missing something..... (rear sound) or jus having the sound surround you rather than coming from one place.

Or is it that fact that mine's a 4dr? Can't be cus they have the same cabin space.

I have a Blaupunkt as well. I forget the exact model but it's the MP34 which I believe is the same as the Montreal except it plays MP3's. I bought it mostly for its non-bling factor. The only complaint I have is when u play an mp3 cd, it only displays the name of the song at the beginning of the song, you can't display the song name half way through or anything.

edit : i think its the Monte Carlo MP34

I'm running the Pasadena CD71. Granted, it comes nowhere near matching the E30 interior but it sounds great and plays all my CDs without skipping. Score.

They don't if they are installed properly, but I don't think many people here know you aren't supposed to high pass rear speakers if you are looking to create a "rear fill" sound with them. Rear speakers are supposed to create ambience, not amplify the entire 65hz and above section so everything is louder. Midbass speakers should be installed and low passed fairly low so imaging isn't thrown off, and they should be amplified no more than half as much as the front stage. Ideally, what you create is the sound of a live recording session. The sound is supposed to come from 2 channels IN FRONT of you, but the echo effect can be exaggerated with good results.

This is strictly an SQ application, though. It is completely unneccessary to not have rear speakers if you have no concern for staging.
I retired my E30 for now...
