Wow. The MVH-P7300 is an abominable piece of garbage. It's really, really bad.
I thought things were buried in menus on the Kenwood, but this thing takes it to a whole new level. Even simple things are screwed up - you can't wrap around to the other end of a playlist. You have to scroll through the long way.
And finally, the sound quality is shit.
All in all, I'm actually kind of pissed off by how bad this thing is. Pioneer should be ashamed that they released this.
Needless to say, it's going back in the box and getting returned.
Edit: oh yeah, and so far as I can ell, it has no provision for powered antennae, so if you occasionally want radio reception, forget it.Leave a comment:

I bought the JVC XD-80BT for $165 after seeing BlueAppleSoda's thread. Bluetooth,2 Additional usbs, 2 aux, perfect color match options, 3 4.8V preouts. I haven't installed it yet, but it seems like its the deck I've been waiting for.Leave a comment:

The display (like most) is always going to be tricky with sunlight. Really dpends on teh car and the decks location. I was able to recess mine so the dash give a bit of shade. The buttons on the other hand, I find very easy to use. Everything is accessible from the dial with ease and the most used items (for me anyway) are near the tops of the menus.
Another plus on this deck is that the AUX connections are on the rear of the deck and I have them routed very low on the center console. Front jacks are just bleh.Leave a comment:

I have the above, KDC-X794 in my Lancer and it is easily the best deck I've ever owned, both functionally and cosmetically.Leave a comment:

Finding a HU with 3 pre-outs and at least 4V on them, but without any chrome/shiny bits on it for around $200 (or less) is proving a bit difficult. Piano black will work in a pinch but I'd rather it be flat (like the rest of the entire dash and interior). BT would be nice but it's not a necessity. My budget can be flexible for the perfect one. Does anyone have experience with any of the following units?
- Clarion CZ302
- JVC KC-AHD65
- Kenwood KDC-X595
- Kenwood KDC-X496
...or have any other similar recommendations?Leave a comment:

Picked this up for $90, sounds amazing for the price, (couldnt be the 25yr old premium speakers could it?) and matches the dash lights fairly well, way better then my previous blue and silver alpine deck.
Edit: also its easy to use, you can change the clock in 2 button pushes...Leave a comment:

Bought this recently. Love it!

Rear USB allows to run the wire sight unseen. Bluetooth phone connection works great for calls.
Lots of colors to select from. One of the oranges matches the E30 dash almost perfect

More settings, better components, etc. It was the top model from their arsenal line. They were $259. I paid $180 a year ago. Cheapest one i found on ebay was $150.Leave a comment:
