    Multi amps, caps, crossovers questions

What's the proper way to set this up...
radio has 3 rca outputs, front, rear and sub-woofer.

    - Stinger 1.4 cap, big enough for JL Audio 1000/1 v2 ?

    - Gravity 5.0 cap, big enough for multi amp setup ?, they are:
    JL Audio HD600/4
    JL Audio HD600/4
    JL Audio HD750/1

    - JL C2-525 speakers, do i need to hookup crossovers or are amp filters enough ? (600/4 amp)

    - Alpine SPR-50 speakers, do i need to hookup crossovers or are amp filters enough? (600/4 amp)

    - Speakers for HD750/1 amp, 8" for vocals, any recommendations ? to be door mounted.

    - speaker cables, could I extend them ? about 2 ft max.

    - RCA connections for HD750/1 amp, it used to be my sub-woofer amp, but planning to use it for vocals, should I split rear RCA signal and share betwwn 2 amps without degradation ?

thanks and sorry for all this questions.

Id sell those caps and buy a huge alternator. Much more useful IMO.

What are you running with all those channels? by my count you have 10 channels? The 750/1 is a mono amp, so are you going to use it to run a center channel? Otherwise you will need two of them to make a stereo signal. Sounds like the system planning wasn't really done to me.

nope, there was no planning, just added as time went by., it used to be ...

          4 x 5 1/4" with hd600/4
2 x 8" with hd600/4 as 2 channel (speakers were Sony xplod's, they need replacing now).
          2 x 10" shalow JL woofers witn hd750/1

I'm trying to set it up so can adjust vocals a bit better., mono would be nice.
added that 1000/1 v2 and 5.0 cap since found it at yards for $ 125.

Sorry, can't help with the wiring, but what HU are running that has front and rear + subwoofer RCAs? Something similar would be great for my 5-channel Soundstream 405 amp. Thanks.

I just bought a Clarion CZ702. The 6ch pre-outs running at 5v were one of the deciding factors.

                no worries, figured out.

radio it's by Pioneer, about 6 years old.
I love the preset EQ's and adjustable woofer settings.

There's newers versions from $ 189 and up at bestbuys.

                DEH-P8400BH $ 189.
                DEH-P9400BH $ 229.

removed lead weight and place amps there instead.
HD750/1 offline until find suitable 10's.

                  two p3s 12" woofers driven by 1000/1 v2 amp ...

So you plan to run two 10's and two 12's? I don't like that idea, the subs will cancel at certain frequencies if they are played in the same passband. It might be a bit louder, but SQ always suffers. I would stick with just a 4 channel and the big mono amp. Or you could get an outboard processor that will allow you to actively cross over your front stage, then I would go 4 channel bridged to front mids, with 2 channels of the second amp to run your tweets up front, and 2 channels to run the rear speakers. But without quality tuning you have a recipe for disaster. With proper tunong it could sound amazing.

I was thinking 2x6"s and twiits on door pods and 2X5 1/4" at oem spots form first 600/4. (choruos effect)

then 6" 2 ways with tweets for rear 1/4 panels bridge from other 600/4 (as sounds get blown back as i drive and canb be matched to door pots for sorroundness.

2x8"s under front seat's from 750/1, that would bring vocals closer to me.

been driving around a 06 carrera s cabrio, it has 6 to 8's on door pods with healthy 1 3/8" twetters. it really seems as if bringing speakers up high and near is the answer., at lest on perchazs.

Now that i think about it, it seems that i'm schtuck in the 80's, over powering speakers just in case., krc-999 II baby.

Multiple speakers up front playing the same frequencies is really bad for your stereo image.
Sounds don't get blown back when you drive.
8" speakers (car ones anyways) generally don't sound good playing vocals, especially if they are being muffled by being under your seat.
If you want to add door pods, I would put an 8" in the door, 4" or 5 1/4" in the kick, and tweet in the sail panel, and use a good processor that has time alignment to get them sounding good.

dwvw I see what you mean, things are a lot better now.
apparently over the years the rca cables deteriorated, F + R leftside sounded dull at times, ran new rca wires and it's sounds a a whole lot better, everthing is spacing out as it should., one of the new cables is fizzing too, crap. I'll change it this weekend and ither run/extend tweeter wires or install them. we"ll see.

the head it's actually a Sony, sorry. nothing wrong with it or it's outputs, just fizz cables.

                            thanks, for advice.

bobthecouchguy yeap, got to clean it up, then pulll excess wires towards cabin.
that blue bunch is 7 feet for mid bass, need to remove those chromed rca's first to make room. for them.

grounds are those clear cables just below red/blue guys.
connections it's a 13mm to body, splits one to left amp and one to right amps., thinking of separating them, one for left amp only and one for amp tower from just below at weight's mount points.... all cables stay cool.

constructive criticisem it's good, non offensive to me.
                            thanks :)

make sure you get that metal sanded down for a good ground, I was chasing a whining noise for what seemed like forever
