No Sound from Radio but power on

Sometimes the radio will cut out and I will get no sound. No output from the speakers but the radio has power. Also noticed the on board display thing goes haywire sometimes if I press buttons. I notice it flicker on and some buttons will not work. Seems like a loose connection or bad wire somewhere. Where should I look?

in behind the radio. pull it out and inspect the connections, inspect for fraying.
