Curious about 2 channel and 4 channel, buying decision...

I've just picked up a set of component speakers for myself. Now I'm figuring out how I want to power it. What would be better 2 channel or 4 channel?
I will be planning to pick up a 10'' sub later down the line, but not now.

I've been thinking about going with a 2 channel, but I've ran across this deal on Hifonics Titan TX8805

Some please tell me what I should honestly consider doing.

you may want a better amp and also it depends how many speakers you have to determine how many channels you need. You are going to have to run the sub off another amp.

If you bridge channels three and four to a 4 ohm sub, they'll power it just fine while channels one and two power the components up front.

That's the plan I have for now if I go with the Hifonics.

there's also the other plan where I plan to pick this up

Just to power the component speakers and then pick up a new amp later for the sub itself

Is there a way or route that people do prefer? or recommend honestly?

IMHO in the long run you would be much happier w/ 2 amps...one for the sub and one for the other speakers...not to mention JL is really nice. I would deff go w/ that over the other amp you were looking at.

There's no reason to get two amps if you don't need them. Just make sure that there are crossovers on the amp for a sub.
