anyone have a lukebox with a non skipass/armrest rear seat?

    im in a pickle,

Ive got EXCELLENT garage kept original owner blah blah interior that id like to keep all in there. Downside is that i have the solid back rear seat.

I saw on GAS site that the 12" woofer has ports that extend through the rear speaker deck. that seems like a viable option. (awaiting response from luke)

Other than that, What have ya'll, with a fixed back rear seat, done as far a lukeboxs are concerned?

    Thanks in advance

I have a 10" lukebox and an excellent original interior as well, and I am using my standard vinyl rear until I piece together black fronts to match my armrest/headrest and black door cards.

Simply gut some of the foam where the skipass would be and it's fine. I actually am enjoying the uber stealth nature of it. Sound is still incredible, the foam and vinyl don't stand a chance. The ports are somewhat blocked of course, and I'm not sure what I'm missing out on with that, but I have no complaints.

I have a 10" lukebox, no ski pass, with no foam gutted, and it still sounds far better than any other setup I have tried.

A big factor is what seat you have too. Cloth, M3, skipass, vinyl or leather all work differently

I take it not all E30's have a Ski pass access plate/hole. I was looking at purchasing a Luke box, removed the trunk partition only to find this. Bummer! 1984 325E Cloth seats.

I used a couple of ports on my rear seat back. I do not consider the car an original show quality car so I just wanted something nice and clean. I have vinyl seats installed and with some foam gutted and the sub hitting moderately it would flap and rattle the heck out of the vinyl. Soooooo... I cut it. Now it sounds amazing(er) especially considering I only have about 200 watts going to my sub. By the way this sounded so much better I did it to my other e30's rear seat as well.
