Hard wiring Beltronics RD to 12v

Recently got me a Beltronics 955, i currently have it installed via Direct Wire to my 12v constant with out an Add-A-Circuit

do i really need one of those add-a-circuit? or splicing into my 12v should be fine?

You don't need to add a relay or circut.
