What are my options if my 1984 325E does not have the ski/pass panel to knock out??

Most excellent! Keep me posted, we don't have much storage room and can only build a few at a time.
Awesome, keep me posted!
Thanks again, guys

When I have some spare cash, I'll be contacting you for a Luke box man. I heard one in a friend's E30 and I'm sold.Leave a comment:

anyone have a link to show how they ported their seat? i know its simple, but im hoping for some suggestions to get my creative juices flowing
I have the leather sport seat with no pass through and the e3012 box. It sounds fine at low volumes but I cranked it up today and it was vibrating the seat quite a bit. i need to do something to allow that air pressure to release through. nothing has rattled since i bought it until today when i was blasting some dub
btw - i am very picky about sound and is this box is awesome.Leave a comment:

Haha, free trade my ass-our leader handed you guys the free deal but it certainly doesn't go this way.Surprised that dink wasn't shot-we are TOO laid back as rule up here.:D
Yes USPS is the only way to go,surprised at the $50 guess as I routinely order crap to cross the border and MUCH smaller/lighter parcels usually cost a min. of $25.
Let look at the 'ol bank account and see how soon I can do this.Leave a comment:

Well, we are a NAFTA business, supposedly. Last year one Canadian order did get taxed and customs-ed to death, and I have no clue why.
Generally, it is better to ship USPS to Canada. We build our own shipping boxes to minimize weight and size. The e30 10" box weighs 37Lbs, is 36X15X12 in its shipping box.
Let me know, I will get your an exact cost of shipping when you are ready. Expect in the range of $50 or so, I get great prices on shipping.Leave a comment:

Luke I'd like a 10" box but being in Ontario Canada is shipping going to be crazy due to the size/weight?.Leave a comment:

I got a great question on PMs, so I am gonna post it here. I hope you don't mind.
Well, I think if its OK, I am gonna post your question and my answer on the thread!Originally posted by bemdoubleuHi, I am interested in your Luke box, either in 8" or 10". I wanted to ask about the rear seat muffling the sound. I don't have the fold down armrest. Does it still make good sound? What have you heard from customers that also don't have the armrest? Thanks!
Thanks,
Luke
So, here is my answer...it depends on your seat.
As far as I know, there are a few different options. Here they are in order of performance, sound-wise:
1. Fold Down (unless closed, then it is the worst)
2. (arguably) any "ported" seat is on par with arm rest. They do very well!
2. M3 seat, modified
3. Cloth/Foam seat, modified
4. M3 seat, stock
5. Leather "Sport" seat, modified but not ported
6. Cloth seat, stock
7. Leather, stock (don't even think about it, it is terrible)
I can tell you this: there are LOTS of guys out there enjoying tight, clean, rattle free bass in their E30s today using a 10" and a modified leather seat.
If you do the mods carefully, most people can cut half the foam out of the skipass area and you cannot tell from the outside that it has been touched...well, unless you turn the stereo on and watch it jump around!
Thanks,

I have not yet seen a strut brace that will clear any of our boxes, including this one.awesome.. I'll be in for an 8" box in a couple weeks..
it looks like there's plenty of clearance for a rear strut brace - am I seeing that right?
also, as for the amp in that pic w/ the tape measure, is it mounted flat on the seatback or is it insulated with a wooden board?Leave a comment:
