Just wondering if anyone knows what exactly this is.

I'm assuming its stock, and either volume, or left or right speaker selection maybe? Any help with how its wired up at the back would be handy too.

Thanks 10toes! I'm looking at doing a hidden iPod system through a small amp and just having a original tape deck installed, does any one know if it would be in anyway possible to use that control as a volume knob?
