Morel is pretty good. More into the DIY community though.

From what I've read, Morel is REALLY good stuff.

Morel Elate were rated one of the top components of the year by CAE. Super expensive speakers, but if you've got the power and money go for them.
I retired my E30 for now...

              Morel is pretty up there.

If you have the time, patience, and ear, I recommend you go active

                Go active?

Passive: Deck send signal to amp, amp then amplifies that signal, signal sent to crossover, crossovers divide by frequency and send to the corresponding speaker

Active: Deck sends signal to electronic crossover, crossover divides by frequency, sends appropriate signal to amp, amp then goes to speakers.

                  Benefits of active setup:
better use of power: The amp is only amplfying the frequency it needs, instead of amp everything, then throw away what you dont want.
More control: The crossovers that come with component speakers are non adjustable. An electronic crossover is adjustable (frequency + slope)

                  Downfalls:
Each speaker will need its own channel. As in a 4channel would have your front 2 channels driving the tweeters, the rear 2 would drive your mids.
It could possible sound like crap. Every speaker is different, and companies spend alot of time+money to figure out exactly what settings sound good with what speaker. With an active setup, all your knobs start at 0 and you need to figure out what to change.

It probably doesn't make sense, but its christmas morning and I'm not really thinking too much.

That is how I planned on doing it, active that is.

The Alpine HU I have as LF, RF, RR, LR, LS, and RS. The sub is mono, and I was going to do the rest "active".

                    Peace

The other advantage is the damn near total elimination of something called "Intermodulatio Distortion".

It also makes cheap shit sound fucking amazing, good shit sound unbelievable.
