I hope that version has a key-lock function, because when I had the older model with the blue remote, I couldn't just leave it in my pocket. The buttons are so easy to press, and since the range was so long, that say I'm walking around in a mall or school, and I can accidently unlock my car or turn the ignition on.

        I hated it.

Also, make sure it has a silent mode or vibrate function - another feature that my remote didn't have.

Overall, I hated the alarm system. I have a regular alarm system with no paging system, and I like it much better.

I actually had the exact same alarm, the 2WFM, it was a different colored one, so I thought it was different.

Anyways, I say, if you must have a paging alarm system, you got the wrong one - shoulda gone with the 2WSS or Autopage.

Your friends never had the problem?
Do you goto school, or work, or ever in an environment where you need to turn your cellphone off? If you do, you are screwed with this alarm. Only thing you can do is, take out the battery, which is a bitch. Everytime a ricer with a fart-can drives by your car, your pager is gonna make the most annoying noise, and will piss you and everyone around you off.
The newer version, the 2WSS at least has the vibrate mode, and same with Autopage's paging system.

And I hope you don't plan on putting your remote in the pocket, because you WILL accidently push the button everyonce in a while - the buttons on those 2WFM is so easy to push.
The belt clip holster thing makes it bit better - but that means you have to wear a stupid remote on your belt at all times.

I'm not saying that you should not get a paging system - they are nice feature to have. But I hated the Compustar 2WFM, and I'm not the only one.
If you still can, get the AutoPage paging system instead which comes with a vibrate mode and key-lock function.

well I'm sure he won't mind if you bought a more expensive one
2WSS is better, but the remote is huge compared to the competitors, and I don't think it has the key-lock function.
Best in my opinion is AutoPage - so try to swing for that.
