dash light/rear marker light/radio/check panel issue

no, i have not had time to diagnose or troubleshoot - it's difficlut for me to get under the dash since an auto accident i was in... BUT...

ISSUE - with ignition in run (engine running or off) the dash lights and rear bumper marker lights always come on. headlight switch is off.

with the car in full OFF and the headlight switch in either position, the dash lights, check panel, and radio all turn on.

yes, car has an aftermarket radio, but it appears to be spliced correctly. this issue also happens with the radio completely removed from the vehicle.


any thoughts or ideas for a common or simple issue? headlight switch feedback?

Try to disconnect the headlight switch and see what happens

issue was the headlight switch - internal short.
