    E30 antenna help

So i went to install my e36 ti antenna base on my 1993 e30 vert but the antenna in my e30 isnt the automatic one that ive seen on most. Its this long base that was ziptied to my the car inside the trunk. only one thick wire runs to it which is the antenna wire but it doesnt appear to unscrew from the base.

if i follow the black wire farther back it meet with 2 wires that dont go anywhere

Antenna can be pulled out and its pretty long

Can anyone help me with this what antenna is this and how can i install my e36 ti antenna base if i cant screw in the antenna wire and were is the power wire that also is suppose to plug into the base?

Also what are these other 2 wires and grommet for?

    Please help

yea it looks like someone installed something aftermarket. the bad news is, it doesnt look like the one you have is using the stock antenna wire. if the antenna wire doesnt disconnect from the antenna, track the wire. if the current antenna wire isnt connected to the stock antenna wire at some point and the current antenna wire runs to the head unit, that means the pulled the stock wire. I dont know what kind of male connector is attached to the e36 ti wire, but if it pairs up to the stock wire, you are most likely out of luck and will have to run a new wire.
