Shallow mount subs good for anything in an E30?

My brother gave me a pair of TS-SW251, Pioneer 10" 4ohm shallow subs. Is it a waste of time to use these in the e30 with a sealed set-up? They don't move much air and only require like .3-.7 cubic foot sealed and sound like doo-doo in a large ported box.

Thats the same model I have now, its probably not going to do much in a luke box, it doesn't move enough air. y brother did all kinds of experiments with the ported transmission box or whatever it was he built and until we plugged the hole it didn't do anything, even with 300+ watts going to it.

A lukebox with a no frills dvc woofer should blow it out of the water.
