Cigarette Lighter Issues

Okay, so I've looked at all the other threads regarding the cigarette lighter and none of them have answered my question. My lighter does not work, there is no power from the 12v wire, the fuse is fine (power antenna works fine), the ground works fine (heater works).
My two questions are; 1. where does the power wire end up? (glovebox side or driver side?) and 2. If I can't find where it goes what other wire could I splice into to get it to work...
And no I don't smoke, I just need to charge my GPS, phone etc...

If I recall correctly from my dash swap, the wire goes towards the passenger side but joins up with a larger harness. Remove your shifter console, HVAC controls and stereo and you should have good accessibility to begin following it back. Sorry I don't know where it terminates.

There is an accessory fusebox next to the main fusebox. It should have a lid but usually is missing and gets full of dust and water. It has two wires: red and green. Red is always hot, green is hot when ignition is on. You can tap power from there and run it back through the firewall, then ground out the circuit anywhere you like.

Thanks mate, I followed it up and found it broken about 30cm up (after into where it joins the larger harness), all fixed now =)
