    Stereo installers out there

Any one in the San Diego area willing to help a guy out? Please, I have installed decks in the past successfully but it must be an e30 thing that most of us struggle. I have the premium sound.

Ps. I've read A LOT of help provided out there with no luck.

My grounding is wrong I think, the stereo is doing all kinds of weird things, for example, I can hear the sound of my motor thru the speakers once I start it. It also sounds staticky and above all as soon as I turn my headlights(when the car is running) the entire deck shuts off!!

Sounds like you have your ground from your aftermarket stereo hooked up to your illumination wire in the car.

              Agreed.

Make your own clean, solid grounding location within a few feet of the headunit... solves most grounding issues.
