How to fit speakers up front (Diamonds)

Ok, got my new amp in (Rockford 500/2), and the new Diamonds and crossovers installed, started up the stereo, and the front speakers are rattling at high volume. I was worried this would happen since the kickpanels touch the speaker, so now I need an easy way to fix this without doing some crazy custom shit like cutting away the kickpanel and fixating the speaker and grille outside the panel.

    Any ideas?

Is the stock sound deadening batting material still stuck to the back of the plastic kick panel cover? If not thats your problem.

Sound deadening is still there. I was considering the idea of a spacer to go around the ring of the speaker to press out the panel a bit, but I have no idea where I'd conveniently find something like that.

Just measured it up that I can't use the speaker grille in any way or else it'll hit the hood latch. Would be nice if the panels weren't made of such shitty plastic, then I could heat it up and form it to bulge around the speaker. Oh well.

They should sell just plain old concentric rings with varied thicknesses, or you can make one with a hole saw. I dunno, I'd just relocate the hood latch if it were bugging me that much.

i was thinking about cutting the metal a bit and moving the speakers down about 1 inch it would fix every problem i think. this is just speculating because i have really looked into it fully. I know it woul clear the latch and the glovebox.
