getting the radio out without the tool

So are there any tricks to get the factory radio out of the car without the special tool. Any ideas. Don't want to pay $7 plus shipping for a tool I will use once or twice. Its the 5 sided hex tool.

I ground down a small flatblade screwdriver. Used it for years. I now have the $50 folding set of keys, all professional and stuff...but I swear, that ground down screwdriver worked better than any of the pro tools, even the BMW tool.

Got a benchgrinder? Go get one of the little screwdrivers with the clip on the side, that is a good starting point. Basically, you end up grinding little bits until it fits tight.
