Speakers cut out when music is too loud

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm having a problem where the speakers will cut out if the music is turned up too high. The sub will still keep bumping however. Is this a problem with the speakers or the amp?

Speakers do what they are told, generally.

Is something is shutting off, you can count on it being an install issue.
