if you can afford a real sub get an Alpine type R 10" or JL Audio 10W3v3.

Thanks for the input. But those are significantly more expensive. I don't think my ear would be able to justify the cost difference

Eric, you would have to hear that Infinity to believe it.

It makes solid, clean thunder in the E3010 box and is a far better choice than the TypeR.

By the way, we may have a better woofer option soon for the 'vert...

Ya, i haven't heard any of their cones for 4 years so they may be better than what i've heard.

Eric, Luke is right. I put a 10" LukeBox in my girlfriend's E30 with that Infinity sub (DVC though) and a cheap 250w DUAL amp and it seriously kicks ass.

                Eric,

Did you use the comps? I know the Kickers are the suck, but mine pounds pretty damn good with a clean signal.

Mark, im using the luke box, the 2 8" kickers and an alpine mono block 500W. the luke box fully installed correctly and im running the battery in the truck. i'll try to get a recording mic on the car to show the woof issue i have with the kickers and it's the same issue i had seen years ago with older infinitys

I have that alpine head unit in my car, I love it. I ordered a 12" lukebox and amp rack a week ago and I'm still undecided about what woofer/amps to use. I got a sweet deal on a type R 12 and component set if I want it, but I'm torn between that and the infinity1262 setup. The infinity seems to be the most popular choice around here, the box was designed for that type of woofer and is pretty much guaranteed to kick ass. I'm curious to see what you end up with.

im not a fan. run your quad all around off of that amp and get another amp to run the subs.

Either this ^ or get a 5 channel amp.
