heater fan suddenly stopped working...lighter too

I pulled out my radio to hook up rca cables...I did not mess with wiring, other than running the amp source wire and a pair of rca's, they go under the back seat (was removed and put back) and into the trunk.

Now....the lighter socket and blower fan do not work at all, they are like dead now. The fan, I think did not work right away, but the lighter did for few days and died.

I pulled out the stereo again to check may be I accidentally unplugged something, but everything seems to be fine, no loose wire or plugs.
it may be unrelated but my left high beam also suddenly stopped working short while back...all fuses look fine and were replaced with new old pieces.

Could I damage something inside the stereo shaft?
I'm at a loss now. Please help.

    car is 1991 318i.

Update. I removed the blower fan and i think it is done. the blades hardly turn....so i'm in need of a new fan now. Here what is puzzling a bit. I used multimeter to measure current at the terminals and the reading remained zero. I see fuses are good.
Should i be getting 12v for the blower motor withingnitiln on and fan set at 4th speed?
