more likely that not, your car's speakers were wired with a 'common ground'. This usually means that you need to run new wiring for aftermarket speakers for them to sound good. So, yes, rewire the whole car.

Yup...rewire city for you. Install your amp now. Run all 4 speaker wires to your amp, install all of it now or you will hate yourself later.

      Any questions, post 'em here.

Can we put a sticky at the top of the forum that reads:

"YOU MUST RUN NEW WIRES WITH A AFTERMARKET HU YOU DUMB SHITS"

If I had a dime for every time this topic has been beaten to dead.. well I wouldn't be driving a e30 I tell ya...

Oh, you would too. It would just be more of a modded out one.

I never rewired my car when I installed my HU, but then again I installed a 9 year old HU that barely works and the sounds sucks if you want to crank it really loud,

but it's good enough for me.... for now

Mike, I bet your sound would improve 100% if you rewired.
No kidding. Damn near free, and your 9 year old deck will appreciate it.

                ^ Luke,
I will replace all the wire soon enough, but it probably won't be until summer time though, since I'm really busy right now.

plus I don't mind the crappy sounds right now, however it is starting to get on my nerves, but I'm going to try and live with it for awhile longer. :)
