Random turn signal sounding

Started my car earlier today and the turn signal sound was randomly going off without the turn signals being on. When I switch the turn signals on they work fine but then after they turn off the sound is still ticking. Anyone have any ideas?

I assume there's a sensor to tell which way the switch is going left or right an its stuck on eother left or right so its telling it to make the noise

I was thinking the same thing but I can feel the lever click back to the center. Could it be a bad sensor?
