Who here is running this combo or these components? How do you like/dislike them?

The alpine UTE-42BT as the head unit:

OBCON - 10" Shark Tooth Cast Basket Subwoofer - DVC:

    Subwoofer/dp/B0064T0TJS

Planet Audio AC1800.5 MOSFET Five-Channel Power Amp:

I plan on running these with a lukebox. Any installation tips specific to these parts that wouldn't be covered by luke's well-done writeup?

Also: would this adapter help in the install?

that should all work together really good

I prefer a JVC deck but it doesnt matter.

make sure you get good RCA cables - the streetwire zx-5 or whatever are nice

that adapter is garbage and you dont need it - its made for people who dont want to use RCA cables

That would eliminate the need to run RCAs from the head unit if your feeling super lazy. Better off running them.

That PA amp is nothing short of amazing for the money. In Klaus I have a Clarion HU, 3 pairs of ZN5 RCAs to the trunk going to that amp and the Infinity DVC 10" sub in my Lukebox. Details in his build thread. The only thing I'm doing differently in Lola is the HU.

What setting are you running the amp at?

2 things: one, get your order in soon, we have E3010s sitting on a shelf right now and that is rare!

Second, please read the "Tuning Guide", that should cover the adjustments. Everyone has their own ideas on tuning, so personal preference plays a big part in settings.

Let me know if I can help!

I got my box in a couple weeks ago, actually. Now I'm just ordering all the other components of the install. Also regarding the tuning, I'm kinda familiar thanks to your tutaorials, but I was asking more about how he wired/installed the amp rather than the specific gains he's running if that makes any sense...

                    Ah...duh...

The AC1800.5 will do 4 X 50 or so and 350 X1, that is likely your best option.

Straight by Luke's book. The 3 pairs of RCAs were run from the HU down the driver side of the car, through the factory grommet to the aftermarket amp. I also extended the stock speaker wires from the factory amp location over to the aftermarket amp. Pretty simple once you get your head around it.

                        Cool! Thanks Guys!

The previous owner had a replacement mini amp (about the size of the old premium audio stock amp) put in with a 90's vintage (I think) alpine head unit and one pair of RCAs run through the ski pass.
If anything, it makes the door sill access easier because they managed to use screws instead of those damned plastic clips, but I hope there won't be any complications.
It should be a somewhat different install, I'll be sure to do a writeup for anyone who's curious.
