    pic request

Been reading up on the e36 and/or z3 radios that could be used in an e30, and am interested in them for a more stock, flush look in the instrument panel. Could somebody please tell me which BMW stock units with cd players would work with an e30, and maybe post a picture? I've already seen this one:

anybody else have some more pics of perhaps some different units?
    hint:
i'm not asking your opinion on whether or not it's worth installing one.

    Z3 business CD.

All e36 HU's stick out way too far, just like that one.

hi, I did mine... I still have to fab some 'ears' so that it stays put, but I shaved a spare (crappy) HVAC panel and it does work.

There's probably a 6-CD tray somewhere in his car.

there are so many people upgrading the cassette units for the single CD units, so the cassette units are cheeep right now.

Be advised, I guess the C43 has somewhat better sound than the C33, even though hey look similar.

I'm CD-less... I'm going to go with either an aux input or an ipod controller anyway. a used CD changer in decent shape seems to average around $200, but the ipod controller is a little less, so we'll see.

Why are your defrost and hazard switches on the wrong side?

btw a Nakamichi deck would give a good look and still be an aftermarket HU... just wanted to throw that option out there just in case you weren't TOTALLY set on doing a stock radio....

lol its called user preference..those buttons can be moved around anywhere in those four spots. my buttons are coincidentally configured the same exact way!

its more comfortable for me to reach the buttons there..

wow, I had no idea... another fix-it goes to the top of the list.

I love the nakamichi deck too... the only problem is that here in sunny NYC, aftermarket decks tend to get removed from your car... so, rolling with a stock cassette player has it's upside.

nakamichi decks stick out too far, and the amber matches the amber of the rear defrost button.

Aren't the BMW Traffic Pro decks 1DIN as well? It's expensive, but it'd be cool to have in an E30.

Considering how much the BMW Business CD decks cost, it seems like a better idea to get a Nakamichi or a Clarion which are far more capable decks.
