I have sticky buttons. Please help.

So all the rectangle push buttons in my car are very very sticky and tend to get stuck. I.e. the window lock button, fog light button, hazards, and defrost button. Currently my defrost button has been stuck in for about a week and i cant find a solution to unstick it other than some sort of suction cup? any ideas on ways to grease or lube these so they'll free up a bit?

I'd soak it with WD-40... but when it gets unstuck, dry it off as best you can, WD-40 can also attract dust to settle on the moist surface.
