I noticed that my brake lights were stuck on during my drive home at 3am tonight. I haven't had much of chance to check out what the issue is. None of the check lights came on. I pushed the plunger in with my finger and it didn't make the lights go off. I purchased a new switch after I got home. Any ideas on what it could be or tips on what to check?

i would unplug the brake switch first and see if it stays on. if not you found the problem -> switch. If it stays on you have a short circuit somewhere -> trace the wires all the way to the rear lights. i don't know or heard of any particular spots where you would have a greater chance finding a short.
95% sure that it's the switch.
