    Cabrio amp wiring?

    88 cabby

    Followed the sticky and radio wired fine, however the amp wiring is completely different. Here's what I got..

    Purple/grey
    Red/white
    Purple/black
    Grey/red
    Black/brown
    Brown/grey
    Black/brown
    White
    Grey/white
    Blue/black
    Yellow/black
    Brown/black
    Blue/red
    Yellow/red
    Brown
    Black /white

    I have the fader if that makes a difference

    EDIT:
    You can only "reroute" the rear speakers and have to run new wires to the front! here is the diagram for anyone rewiring their cabrio!

    Deck Connections:
    Car ---> Deck

    Red/Green ---> Yellow (12V Const)
    Violet/White ---> Red (12V ACC)
    Brown/Black x2 ---> Black (Ground)
    Gray/Red ---> Orange (Illumination)
    White ---> Blue (Antenna On)
    White ---> Blue/White (Amp On)

    Yellow/Red ---> Green (L/R +)
    Yellow/Black ---> Green/Black (L/R -)
    Blue/Red ---> Violet (R/R +)
    Blue/Black ---> Violet/Black (R/R -)

    Amp re-routing (rewiring done in the back, amp is located in the trunk on the right side behind the "mouse fur":

    Left Rear Speaker:
    (+) Radio: Yellow/Red ===> Amp: Black/Red
    (-) Radio: Yellow/Black ===> Amp: Black/Violet

    Right Rear Speaker:
    (+) Radio: Blue/Red ===> Amp: Black/White
    (-) Radio: Blue/Black ===> Amp: Black/Brown

            Note how all "/brown" wires are negative. EDIT: Scott, thanks for your diligence!

              Cabrio amp wiring?

              Figured it out, there is no re-routing to the front speakers (without fader/balance issues with the newer deck). Only option is to reroute to the rears and run new wire to the front speakers.

              The following was done for future reference for anyone that has this issue!

              Deck Connections:
              Car ---> Deck

              Red/Green ---> Yellow (12V Const)
              Violet/White ---> Red (12V ACC)
              Brown/Black x2 ---> Black (Ground)
              Gray/Red ---> Orange (Illumination)
              White ---> Blue (Antenna On)
              White ---> Blue/White (Amp On)

              Yellow/Red ---> Green (L/R +)
              Yellow/Black ---> Green/Black (L/R -)
              Blue/Red ---> Violet (R/R +)
              Blue/Black ---> Violet/Black (R/R -)

              Amp re-routing:

              Left Rear Speaker:
              (+) Radio: Yellow/Red ===> Amp: Black/Red
              (-) Radio: Yellow/Black ===> Amp: Black/Violet

              Right Rear Speaker:
              (+) Radio: Blue/Red ===> Amp: Black/White
              (-) Radio: Blue/Black ===> Amp: Black/Brown
