Is the factory antenna compatible with aftermarket HU's?

    OK...I will pull the deck this weekend and see what those white wires are connected to (if anything). I know the factory antenna connector in the trunk is getting power, because the POS aftermarket antenna the PO had installed was getting power from there.

      I just wanted to update this thread, and also thank German Audio Specialties guy for the help. I finally got around to pulling the head unit and discovered the two white wires were not connected to anything. I twisted them together and connected them to the remote trigger lead on the head unit. Bam!

      Although now I have another problem. The mast only goes up about 8 inches. It almost seems like the motor does not stay engaged long enough, because even with a little assistance the mast does not raise up past a certain point. Does this sound familiar or do I just need to order up a replacement mast?

        Mine does this. Although if I help it, it will go up further, but not all the way. And then I have to help it go back down...
