Heat gage

    Heat gage

    Ok so my heat stays on or little over 1/4 all the time when im cruising... is this normal?.. should I trust it

    E30s in proper running order generally run just under the "halfway" mark on the temperature gauge or a bit colder. Your gauge isn't necessarily wrong, but it might serve you well to check the ground nut on the back of the gauge and make sure it's tight. You should check the matching nut on the fuel gauge while you're back there and replace any dead illumination/service bulbs.

      If you or a previous owner has ever replaced your thermostat with a colder than stock one that can cause this as well. Once you've been driving a bit is your heat nice and toasty or not quite as hot as it ought to be?

        I already did that.. its still the same nd my gas gauge flips out too
