AM radio mode thump

Any one have ideas how to eliminate the thump everything I use the brake and turn signal. Its only on AM mode. I tend to listen to AM quite often. Everything seems grounded. The thump gets louder in raining day. what am I missing here. Its a stock cassette radio.
