    E36 window control swap

I just spent an ass load on a new top and it looks fantastic but sometimes the cars window hits it. I don't want this to happen. I got my windows realigned the other day but the drivers side still hits a small section. I saw that the e36's have a control that drops the windows if you pull the handle half way or so. Can I swap this in the e30? What would consist of the swap? Anyone do this before. Can someone make at setup like this..stereoinstaller?
    Thanks

i believe you are talking about the "one-touch" E36 switches. these don't work with our cars..however i have seen some "one-touch" modules. there was a thread on this not too long ago

Not what he's talking about at all. He's talking about a feature that when you pull up on the handle on the outside of the car (or the inside) the window will go down a tiny bit to clear the weather stripping. It's basically a feature for cars without frames around the entire window.

but in any case, that feature will wear out the window motor quickly..

In reference to the one touch down switches, I was talking to a guy at BavAuto about their switches and he seemed to know of a fix to 'convert' the E30 to be able to accomodate the e36 one touch switches. Has anyone heard of that?

This is what I am talking about. I want them to come down when I pull on the door handle. There is another thread a couple down on the page that talks about the one touch windows.

your point doesnt prove anything, however i dont think it will wear out the window motors, i mess with my windows more than that during the time im driving anyway, if you can get it to do that let me know casue i want it to, you could have so much better of a seal at the top of the window like that
