Tachometer and Heat gauge are not working

So i just picked up a 88 325 last night and i've been trying to fix all the random problems on it so far today. my tachometer and heat gauge don't work at all although the speedometer still works... is this something I can just pull the cluster out and get it to work or am I in need of a new cluster?

I have access to a few extra clusters at my old work

I had the same issues on the 89 325I I recently bought, Rebuilt SI Board fixed mine. Check out Gregs///M
